Dr. Jaclyn Lee is an accomplished HR professional with over 25 years of experience. She has recently joined Certis as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) after leaving her role at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

At SUTD, Dr. Jaclyn Lee played a crucial role as one of the pioneer team members responsible for establishing the university from scratch. As the Chief Human Resources Officer, she oversaw the full spectrum of HR functions, including HR strategy, talent and capability development, workforce planning and optimisation. She also worked closely with the senior management team in shaping the mission, vision, and values of the university. In addition to the above, she was also instrumental in developing the total compensation structure, performance management system, and spearheading new HR policies and processes. She played a pivotal role in recruiting key leaders, senior academics, and faculty members for the university and supported the President in driving international employer branding and culture alignment. Her mastery in the field of Human Resources earned her the IHRP Master Professional Certification in April 2018, an award conferred to her by the then Manpower Minister, Mrs Josephine Teo.

Prior to her role at SUTD, Dr. Jaclyn Lee held the position of Senior Vice President, Group Human Resources, at Certis CISCO Security Pte Ltd. In that role, she managed the full spectrum of HR functions for a security services company with a significant workforce. She successfully led strategic HR planning for Singapore and the region, implemented effective compensation and benefits systems, and oversaw employee engagement and human capital development initiatives. Notably, she managed a challenging wage restructuring project involving a large number of workers.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Jaclyn Lee served as the Regional HR Director for NEC Solutions Asia Pacific. In this capacity, she was responsible for strategic planning, organisational development, and regional HR functions. She developed talent and career development frameworks for engineers and high potentials in the South Asia region, and she played a key role as the Balanced Scorecard leader for the region.

Dr. Jaclyn Lee holds a PhD in Business Information Systems from the University of Twente in the Netherlands, a Masters in HRM from Rutgers University, a Masters in Management from Singapore Management University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brandon University. Her educational background and extensive experience contribute to her comprehensive understanding of HR practices and strategies.

Dr. Jaclyn Lee is a sought-after speaker at conferences, both locally and internationally. She has shared her expertise at numerous events, totaling close to 100 conferences. Her contributions to the HR field have been recognised, as she received the Leading HR Leader Award at the annual SHRI Awards in 2008 and the Outstanding contribution to HR Award in 2018 from HRM Asia. She also served previously as a Volunteer HR Director for SPRING Singapore’s initiative to drive good HR practices in SMEs, and actively participates in other volunteer committees focused on promoting best HR practices.
